Terms of Service

Akelah is a travel-planning tool. We help you understand visa and entry requirements and assemble trips by aggregating flights, stays, activities, and related information from third-party providers. Akelah is a planning and information service, we are not a travel agency, airline, hotel, or government authority, and we are not the merchant for any booking you make.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Visa, entry, health, and document requirements provided through the Service are for general informational purposes only, are generated in part using automated and third-party sources, and may be incomplete or out of date. They are not legal, immigration, or travel advice. Requirements change frequently and vary by individual circumstances. You are solely responsible for verifying all requirements with the relevant embassy, consulate, airline, or official government source before you travel or book.

Flights, stays, activities, and other inventory shown in the Service are provided by third parties. Prices, availability, and details come from those providers and may change or become unavailable at the time of booking. When you choose to book, you are directed to a third-party partner, and your purchase is a contract between you and that partner, subject to their terms and privacy policy. Akelah may earn a referral or affiliate commission from such partners. We are not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of any third party.

Some features may require a paid subscription or fee. Applicable prices, billing terms, and cancellation details will be presented to you before you purchase. Fees for paid Akelah features are separate from any amounts you pay to booking partners.

You agree not to:

• Misuse the Service or interfere with its normal operation;
• Access the Service using automated means or scrape its content except as expressly permitted;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or data;
• Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law;
• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing purpose; or
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written permission.

You retain ownership of the trip details and other information you submit. You grant Akelah a non-exclusive license to use that information to operate, provide, and improve the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any information you submit.

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. We use PostHog’s US Cloud for limited product analytics to understand and improve the Service.

The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by Akelah or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not use our names, logos, or content without our prior written consent.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service or any information in it (including third-party data) will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akelah and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to Akelah in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.

You agree to indemnify and hold Akelah harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

We may change or discontinue features of the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Akelah is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
